8 Reasons Why My Business Grew in 2019

8 Reasons Why My Business Grew in 2019

I am disciplining myself into greatness. For the past year, I’ve been surrounding myself with stimuli that will help me get to where I want to go. I am consuming content created by people who are hustling their way to the top. I am learning from those who are loving themselves completely and following their passions. People who encourage positive thinking, achieving goals, and perusing the opportunity of success are the type of people I am learning from.

I believe in myself. Whatever I set my mind to, I will get there no matter how many attempts it takes. The process of believing in yourself can be exhausting. There must be a commitment to small goals while acknowledging their accomplishments as they come. Though I am not sure she knows it, my friend has been essential in holding myself accountable, our weekly talks always help me focus on what is working and what isn’t. Our talks are casual and enjoyable. After months of hearing her set goals and then accomplish them, I realized I was capable of setting and following through on goals as well. I finally had something to bring to the conversation and feel proud about.

It may be called peer pressure, but it can be used with a good intention. Being around others has an impact on your well-being. When surrounded by people who are progressing themselves in every way eventually makes you want to do the same (at least more than you usually do).

I’m extremely grateful for the community that is supporting my growth (and most of them don’t know the impact that they’re making on me). Here are all the resources that I can think of that have supported me—

  1. Insight Timer app meditations (I especially love the words of affirmation, dream visioning, and nourishing support).
  2. Past mentors that gave me an ounce of confidence to push forward or gave me a new perspective.
  3. The hours of content I’ve consumed through podcasts, YouTube videos, books, and other educational platforms from experts in their field (thank you unstructured education for letting me craft my own learning path).
  4. Current friends who are doing amazing things by setting goals that align with their dreams and moving forward to accomplish them.
  5. Current and past clients who are energetic, big dreamers, and disciplined in their own practice.
  6. Friends/Family who welcome me as myself and may sing & dance when there’s a party (to encourage fun and playfulness).
  7. The virtual-assistant freelancers who contributed their talents and produced a quality service.
  8. Coffee and essential oils for shifting my internal energy to feel motivated and energized for the creation and execution process.

It takes a community to help us succeed. I believe, even in the solo-successes, there are all these hidden contributions that we do not realize.
